SEVEN impactful Black punk films at the Forum!
Day 3.
A black punk brunch at Black & Tan Hall will host the Black Punk Brunch, where we'll raise a glass to the Northwest's Black punk favorite: Kimya Dawson!

Afro-Punk– 7pm at NWFF w/ in-person Slide show about Afro-Punk with James Spooner
Afro-Punk focuses on four African Americans dedicated to punk rock, interspersing band footage and interviews with over 80 other Black punks across the US. Featuring performances by Bad Brains, Tamar-kali, Cipher, and Ten Grand! On opening night, James Spooner will be signing and selling copies ofAfro-Punk on DVD, his coming of age graphic novelThe High Desert, and his new book Black Punk Now.

Rebel Dread– 4:30pm at NWFF
A cinematic portrait of Don Letts, a British-born Black filmmaker, DJ, musician, and cultural commentator known for introducing Afro-Caribbean music to the early UK punk scene.
The Baldies– 5pm at NWFF
Skinhead culture started as multi-cultural, working-class, and anti-racist, but soon was co-opted by white supremacy – but not if The Baldies could help it.$0–25 Sliding scale admission!
Bad Brains: A Band in D.C.– 7pm at NWFF
With equal parts scorching live footage and Bad Brains member interviews,A Band in D.C.charts Bad Brains’ comeback tour and fraught internal relationships.

White Riotrecalls the racist hostility of 1976 Britain – anti-immigrant hysteria, National Front marches – and punk music’s role in resisting nationalism.

Wendell & Wild– 4pm at NWFF
